Audition agreement

By auditioning to join the live reading ensemble for Cape Swoosh Productions, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

• Performers will be contacted on an on-call, as-needed basis regarding bookings.  Performers may be asked to provide additional auditions to be considered for potential role bookings.

• Coordinators for Cape Swoosh will strive to provide as much notice on information regarding upcoming readings as possible, including location, parking arrangements, call times, materials provided, all roles and voices required for performances, and compensation.

• Compensation for performers will be provided when possible, based on revenue per booking.  Coordinators must communicate  with performers regarding compensation before confirming any casting.  Compensation is provided immediately following any scheduled performances.

• Performers may be approached to perform for events without compensation; coordinators will communicate this prior to casting in these instances, and performers are within reasonable rights to turn down such events. 

• Performers must be able to transport themselves to performing venues as necessary.  If there are any concerns regarding travel arrangements, they must be communicated immediately.

• Performers are required to attend at least one (1) virtual rehearsal for upcoming events.  Coordinators agree to arrange rehearsals based on the performer's availability.  If the performer is unable to honor any rehearsal dates, the coordinator has a right to reassign casting to an available performer.

• Performers may be asked for additional availability for virtual or in-person rehearsals in developing new live performance material.

• Performers are requested to share promotional material for upcoming live events via social media.  Promotion through affiliated or professional accounts, such as cosplay or actor pages, may be requested by the coordinator, and should be agreed upon prior to promotion.

• If a performer is unable to attend a previously agreed to live performance, they have up until one week prior to the event to notify the coordinator.  If a performer encounters an emergency that prevents them from performing, they must notify the coordinator immediately. 

Any performer that fails to comply with the listed terms will forfeit any compensation provided for the live reading,  and will not be considered for future live event casting.
